In Conversation: Redefining Representation: The Women of the 116th Congress

Photographer  Elizabeth Herman  joins us at the Center to discuss the Redefining Representation portrait series. Herman will explore the history of the art form, and talk about the inspiration behind the portraits. Joining her will be Dr. Mamie T. Thorns, SVSU's Chief Diversity Officer.  As Special Assistant to the President for Diversity Programs, Dr. Thorns is responsible for providing the leadership and coordination of SVSU's programs related to diversity, equal opportunity, and affirmative action.  She serves as primary adviser to the President and the campus community on matters related to maintaining and enhancing a diverse campus environment.
 

This event is free and unticketed. 

Copies of The Women of the 116th Congress book will be available for purchase the evening of the presentation.
